Welcome to Fantasy Grand Prix
Last Update: 3rd March 2004
Unfortunately this year's FantasyGrandPrix championship will not be running. Thank you to everyone
who has participated in previous years' competitions. The competition may return here in the future
so check back here occasionally. If you have any queries about the site or competition, please use the
link at the bottom of the page to send an email.
In the meantime, the results from previous years' competitions serve as one of the Internet's
most detailed F1 results archive. These will be tidied up and presented better soon!
The final results from this year's FantasyGrandPrix championship can now be
viewed by clicking the above title or by clicking here.
Any new teams entered since the last race have now been entered and mini-leagues updated
accordingly. Your team can be viewed by clicking on its
name in any of the league table in which it appears. Please check that your team has been
recorded correctly and any mini-leagues entered have been set up. These can be viewed by
clicking here.
This site has been updated with the results of each F1 Grand Prix and how
these have affected the FantasyGrandPrix competition. On this site, you can see:
- All the Mini-Leagues, each listed by race, season and 'season so far' totals
- Clicking on the team name in any league table will show details of that team
- How the drivers performed this week
- How they've performed over the season
- The best & worst possible team combinations
- Teams, ordered by their score in this race
- Teams, ordered by their season total
- Each team's performance over the season
Driver changes in 2003 F1 Championship:
- Takumo Sato replaced Jacques Villeneuve for the Japanese Grand Prix
- Marc Gene replaced Ralf Schumacher for the Italian Grand Prix
- Zsolt Baumgartner replaced Ralph Firman for both the Hungarian and Italian Grand Prix
- Justin Wilson replaced Pizzonio in the Jaguar team after the British
Grand Prix. Wilson's place at Minardi has been taken by Nicolas Kiesa. The correponding changes have
been made in the FantasyGrandPrix in accordance with the rules : "Justin Wilson's"
points consist of Pizzonio's points for the first 11 races and Wilson's from thereon.
Kiesa's points are Wilson's for the first 11 races, then his own thereafter.
Competition Details
This Fantasy Grand Prix competition is now entering its fifth season and is following
a similar (if not identical) format to last season (and the one before that ...).
The idea of the competition is simple - choose a team of 10 out of 20 drivers competing
in this year's Formula One World Championship and your team will earn points depending
on their performance
The competition is completely free to enter and you can set up a mini-league
to compete against friends and colleagues.
Please note: Any entries received from now on will still be entered into the competition
but will receive the minimum possible total team score for each of the races missed,
so as to give them a slight handicap but
still give them a chance of doing well in the competition.
